Phase B

  • Natrosol 250 HR (Aqualon) (Hydroxyethylcellulose)
  • 0.25

Phase C

  • Celquat L-200 polymer (AkzoNobel) (Polyquaternium-4)
  • 0.50

Phase D

  • Dow Corning 929 cationic emulsion (Dow Corning) (Amodimethicone and tallowtrimonium chloride and nonoxynol-10)

Phase E

  • Glycerin

Phase F

  • Dow Corning 344 Fluid (Dow Corning) (PEG/PPG-Y/12 dimethicone)

Procedure

Weigh phase A into a clean dry beaker and mix using overhead agitation. Add phase B. Mix well. Once thoroughly into solution, add phase C. Once phase C is thoroughly into solution add Phase D sequentially, mixing between additions. Add phase E one by one, mixing between additions.  Combine phase F. Add phase F to beaker. Mix well. Add phase G to beaker. Mix well for 10 minutes.

Properties

pH—5.00-5.50; Viscosity—6,000-8,000 cps (Brookfield, Spindle B, 10 rpm).
